AUTOBIOGRAPHY
INDRAWAN PRASETYO
XI IIS 2
My Father met my parents while he taught karate in high
school. My father focusing on teaching while my mother focusing on the
competition. While taking her undergraduate programs, although her father is a
police, she once pursued by police/soldier after a demonstration and she hid in
a ditch.
My
parents married in 1997. About 1 years later, I was born in a small clinic in
Central Jakarta on april 2nd 1998. Sometimes I think my name doesn’t
even have any meaning. It’s just an abstract composition of word where “Indra”
is taken from the name of the doctor who helped me, “wan” from my grandfather,
and “Prasetyo” is from my father last name. but now I think the abstract and
practicality of the name is the meaning of the name itself.
I have two times where I don’t have good memories:
pre-play group, and kindergarten. In 2002, I entered playgroup. At that time, I
asked by my mother if I want to enter Islamic playgroup behind a mosque near my
housee, or the catholic one a bit far from my house. I choose the catholic one.
I remember that I usually wnet to that playgroup with my father car and went
back by walking. I also remember that one day my mother and my father wait
outside the building and I ran outside with an origami bird in my left hand. It
must be the last day, also the last day I saw that playgroup open.
In 2003, I entered kindergarten and in 2004 I entered
elementary school in AL-AzharKembangan. I remember when I at second grade, I
found a national geographic magazine and I start to like reading. I wonder what
will happen in 10 years and why do people want to have nuclear weapons because
I read that USA and Russia wil decrease the number of their nuclear weapons. At
that time I believe that any countries need to have nuclear weapons to ensure
their existence as a country.
In 4th grade, my home teacher said “start from
now, you have to learn seriously.” Early 2009, I became one of the participant
of Al-AzharJambore in Cibubur. At that time I thought that being a Pramuka is
great. At that time.
In 2010 I entered junior high school in SMP
LabschoolKebayoran, I didn’t actually learn for the test because my cousin
spent his holiday in my house. On the first day I met with my classmates, I sit
beside AdriansahYasin. He gave me new view on the world and I start to like
socio-political books, he also introduce me to a new view on left movement. In
2011, I went to Mecca. There I see how the rite itself start to lose it
meaning. In 2012, I saw a movie named “GIE”. The film is about a young man
named SoeHokGie. He is one of the most influential activist that day and also
the founder of MAPALA UI. Few months ater that, I bought a book
“CatatanSeorangDemonstran”.A book that copied from his diary. He and his
writings made me interested to hiking and adventure. 2 months before National Exam, I ask my
father how if I climb Mount Gede after National Examination and he said it’s
ok. Later, he introduce me to BambangSugiarto, an experienced mountain climber
and guide who has climbed Carstensz2 times and also a friend ofDjukardi
“Bongkeng” Adriana, a legendary figure in WANADRI and technical advisor in
Eiger.1 week before national examination, I went to Sukamantri with him. He
taught some basic things in mountaineering.
On may 18th,I went to Cibodas to climb Mount
Gede. There I met with IndraSuprantio, BambangSugiarto (Bembeng), MamanRohmani,
and Ibeng. There, IndraSuprantio (Tyo) ask me to stroll around with him to see
if there’s another climber or not. That night, I awake few times because of the
cold air.
The next day, after completing the administration issue,
at 10a.m. we start to walk and arrive at KandangBadak about 5 hours later. The
next day, we climb Mount Gede and went down through Suryakencana field where we
rest for lunch. There, I and Tyo sit and relaxing while listening to GnR music.
Later I realized that he (Tyo) is the one who makes me love mountaineering
activity.
About 1 months after that, I entered High school in SMA
Labschool Kebayoran because of PALABSKY, although I don’t know why, which I later
realized what could happen if I don’t. In Labschool, I got so many experience, mostly from school
programs like TO and Bintama. But the programs that I consider gave me more
experiences is PALABSKY programs like NavigasiDarat (Navigation), SusurPantai
(coastal exploration), and PDP. On April 13th, I, Norman Emil, Ferdio Giffary, Resnu
C.O.G., Bembeng, and Irecx climb Mount Merbabu.
On August 17th, I get my Palabsky membership
number: 134.13.AN03 after Lalinju (about 13 km run from Kalibata to Labsky).
About a month later, on September 21st, I and Norman went to Kawah Upas to see the closing of
PDW (Wanadri Basic Training) and I amazed by the ceremony where they use a lot
of TNT and gun fire. But the most amazing thing is their story in the book
“SetitikCahaya di Kegelapan”.
